Korey Riker

 

Saxophonist, Composer, Arranger, Producer & Educator

Capping off 2015 with the release of his second album "Recognizance", Philadelphia based saxophonist Korey Riker spent the year touring the world performing with John Legend & Melody Gardot.  As a recipient of the 2016 Kimmel Center Jazz Composer Residency grant, Riker was afforded the opportunity to further explore his work as a composer, producer and leader.  Now in 2017, Riker is actively touring the world as saxophonist and featured soloist on John Legend's "Darkness & Light" tour.

Since moving to Philadelphia in 2004, Riker has made his mark on the local music scene.  This has included several performances with The Roots, John Legend, Queen Latifah, Elvis Costello, Tye Tribbett and many more artists listed below.  TV appearances include Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Rachael Ray Show, WaWa Welcome America Philly 4th of July Jam concerts from 2010 thru 2014 & Philadelphia's PSA "UnLitter" Campaign.  Discography highlights include Riker's work on the albums "New Amerykah: Part One" by Erykah Badu, "Souled Out" by Jhene Aiko, "Wise Up Ghost" by Elvis Costello & The Roots, multi-Grammy award winning album "Greater Than" by Tye Tribbett, Grammy nominated "Buenaventura" by La Santa Cecilia and Latin Grammy award winning album "Sirope" by Alejandro Sanz.
